TV2 Empola Game
Flash Game Design & Development.

We arrive at the TV station with our laptops under our arms and ready to prove our coding in the ultimate manner…

A long intense three months of testing, development, tears and euphoria, has been building op to this moment. In a few minutes, our project will be announced in the 6 o’clock news and the first Danes will find their way through the Internet to our quiz; “Test the Nationen” (Test Nationen). We have been testing and testing, but there will be no mercy, if anything goes wrong tonight on live TV. The quiz is only going to be used once, and only once tonight, but we expect over 10% of the Danish population to visit the quiz in a couple of hours and the massive amount of servers running the quiz, will be our safety-net.
6 o’clock and the first thousands Danes flush through the servers and the game is on. We have calculated that it will take an average user 10-15 minutes to complete the quiz and send the results to our database. So if everything is going to plan, we should start to se a massive amount of statistics in about 10 minutes…
It’s 18:10 and only a few results have made it through… this is not good! We are starting to panic.
It’s 18:20 and the database is exploding with result and all the testing has past the ultimate examination. The night was a huge success and the experience of a live flash quiz on national television was unforgettable.
